A brief history of the CEO, Alemayehu Teshome: Born in America and raised in a model family, I realized the importance of community and being the iron that sharpens iron. It took me close to two decades of climbing the ranks in my field of accounting to realize the importance of the phrase, “my people parish for lack of knowledge”. I began my career in public accounting, working for Ernst & Young, where I developed my skill of investigating and understanding what integrity looks like. I brought the best practices from public accounting to government audit and developed fine tuned audit programs for the State of Colorado. My next step was into the financial side of accounting. This is where I had the opportunity to wear the most hats and expand my skillset. I’ve taken on the role of CFO at well known companies and have ensured the integrity of the information presented to the end user (investors, the public, and the government). Since a child, something that extremely bothered me was dishonesty and injustice. This is what lead me to became a licensed life insurance agent. The agency that sold me my policy, quite frankly, couldn’t answer many of my important questions, and I realized they didn’t understand the products they were attempting to sell me. I’m changing this disservice to America with building my own agency from the ground up. My agents can’t sell a product with me if they’re not a user of it. Simple math!
